In scheduler log (/usr/lib/Acronis/Schedule/), you see this error:

Acronis Backup Cloud: Office 365 backups still run after being revoked

Previously, you had Acronis Agent for Office 365 installed on the machine and performing backups. Now you use the cloud Agent and have revoked all plans from the old local agent. However, you get this error:

Symptoms

Office 365 backup fails with:

Error

MESSAGE Cannot back up the primary mailbox of an Office 365 user: 'folder: mailbox primary root: token validation failed'

Cause

Required permissions have been revoked from Acronis Agent in Office 365.

Solution

Re-register Office 365 account:

Symptoms

  1. You installed Update 4 of Acronis Backup 12.5 (Build 12730)
  2. After update, deleted off-host data processing plans (replication, validation, cleanup) start running on schedule. It is not possible to delete these plans because they are not shown in Management Console.

Cause

Issue in the product.

Solution

This issue is fixed in Build 12860 and later, please update the product to the latest build.

Symptoms

  1. You installed Acronis Backup 12.5 Agent on a machine with non-server operating system (Windows 7/8.1/10 etc.) that has a Hyper-V role enabled. A Workstation license is assigned to this Agent.

    To check whether Hyper-V role is enabled on the machine, open Windows Services (Start -> Run -> Services.msc) and look for services with names starting with "Hyper-V", e.g. Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management. If such services are present in the list, then Hyper-V role is enabled.

Acronis Backup: how to add a backup location that is not listed in Backups

Symptoms

In backup management console, you open the Backups tab and notice that the backup location you want to view is not listed.

Solution

To add a location:

  1. Click Browse:
  2. Navigate to the location, select it and click Done.

The location will be added to the list.

Symptoms:

If there are issues with the file system on the backup source, exclusions configured in backup options may not take effect. Files and folders are not excluded from the backup.

Cause:

Issues with file system prevent Acronis and any other software from reading and processing files and folders properly.

Solution

Check if Windows reported issues with file system and then run a command to correct them.

Acronis True Image 2019: Recovery does not start after reboot on HP machines

Symptoms

  1. You have an HP computer in UEFI mode
  2. You try to restore a system backup or perform a different operation with Acronis True Image that requires reboot
  3. After reboot, the system boots directly to Windows. Acronis True Image does not start in boot mode and the recovery/other operation is not performed

Cause

HP computers in UEFI mode use a specific boot order that overrides Acronis Loader.

Solution

As a workaround, change the boot order manually:
